Bakersfield College's Dusty Dilemma
We got the call from Bakersfield College's facilities manager on a Tuesday morning after one of those late-summer dust storms had blown through Downtown. The wind had coated everything—their temporary restrooms for a campus expansion project were full of fine, gritty sand. The porta potties were so full of dust the doors wouldn't even shut right, and they had a big donor event scheduled for that weekend. They couldn't host anyone with facilities in that state.
Our crew rolled out three brand-new, ADA-compliant units on flatbed trailers within two hours. We didn't just drop them; we pressure-washed the entire service area to keep the new units clean and did a full pump-out of the old ones right there. By the time the college staff came back from lunch, they had a spotless, fresh-smelling restroom bank ready to go. The event went off without a hitch, and they didn't have to redirect a single guest.
Javi's team turned a potential disaster into a non-issue before our visitors even arrived.
